Cannot View Attachment Added to Micorsoft Outlook Msg File from AutoVue for Agile PLM with Error 'An error occurred on the server' (Doc ID 2824246.1)

Unable to view the attachment file added to Microsoft Outlook msg file from AutoVue for Agile PLM with below error in AutoVue client window:


An error occurred on the server

When clicking on Detail, see below stack trace:


Attachment file in msg file was able to view from AutoVue for Agile PLM before upgrade


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Log into Web Client, and open an object with .msg file added to Attachments tab, This msg file has Excel file attached
  2. Go to Attachments tab, select a file and View
  3. AutoVue window shows up and .msg file is viewed
  4. Click the hyperlink added to the Excel file added to the .msg file
  5. Gets error "An error occurred on the server" in the AutoVue client window.
  6. Click Details, and see below error:


 Upgraded AutoVue for Agile PLM from 20.1.1 to 21.0.2
