Goal
How do I plan OSP Item/Resources with ASCP?
For example consider a business flow like the following.
1. There is a finished good item say fg_item_A
2. This item has the sales forecast.
3. The routing for this item has an OSP at the resource sequence 10.
4. Suppose this OSP has been defined as an OSP item say osp_item_A
5. We would like to treat the OSP item (osp_item_A) as one of the component for the finished good item (fg_item_A).
6. We would like to collect the supply/demand info for the OSP item (osp_item_A), based on the forecast & sales order that has been entered for the finished good item (fg_item_A).
7.Normally, a purchase order will be generated after a job for this item (fg_item_A) is released.
So with respect to the above flow, following are the desired goal.
Q1. How do I inform the OSP vendor for preparing the OSP item capacity once there is a sales forecast for this item (fg_item_A), as the job is not released yet?
Q2. We would like to deliver the forecast on the OSP item to the OSP vendor once we received the customer forecast. How do we achieve this?
