Details

There is a new Patch released for Rapid Planning (RP) that needs to be applied by all RP customers

Actions

1. <Patch 33680628>:R12.MSC.C needs to be applied by all customers using Rapid Planning

AND
After patch application, RP product code will refer to native libraries which come standard with Weblogic install.
Customers need to upgrade JDBC on their Weblogic install.

There are two ways to update the JDBC JAR file:

A) The Database Patch Availability Document in the July 2021 Critical Patch Update - ref https://www.oracle.com/security-alerts/cpujul2021.html,
and apply patches for Oracle WebLogic Server, versions 10.3.6.0.0, 12.1.3.0.0, 12.2.1.3.0, 12.2.1.4.0, 14.1.1.0.0
or
B) Download JDBC directly - Oracle Database 19c (19.12) JDBC Driver Downloads are available at https://www.oracle.com/database/technologies/appdev/jdbc-ucp-19-12-c-downloads.html

2. This requirement only applies to customers who have used the OVM (Oracle Virtual Machine) Template to install RP. If any customer has used this template, they need to apply patches for CVE-2021-2351 from July 2021 CPU or later (https://www.oracle.com/security-alerts/cpujul2021.html) which will point to Changes in Native Network Encryption (NNE) with the July 2021 Critical Patch Update <Note 2791571.1>
which guides to the patches available via Critical Patch Update (CPU) Program Jul 2021 Patch Availability Document (PAD) <Note 2773670.1>
-- Using OVM for installation of RP is very rare.
