PDC12: PatchSet Silent Mode Upgrade From PS3 To PS4 Is Failing Wizard Error (Doc ID 2830057.1)

Symptoms

On on-premise environment running Pricing Design Center (PDC) 12 PS3 with BRM 12PS3 having Pipeline Manager as rating engine, on which Billing and Revenue Management (BRM) was already upgraded to 12PS4, when attempting to silent install Patch 32944851 (OC Pricing Design Center (PDC) - 12.0.0.4.0 Patch Set), in order to upgrade PDC to 12PS4, one is executing this command:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. upgrade BRM to 12 PS4
2. go to folder in which pdcserver-12.0.0.4.0_generic.jar is located
3. execute: java -jar pdcserver-12.0.0.4.0_generic.jar -debug -invPtrLoc $HOME/oraInventory/oraInst.loc -responseFile $APP_PATH/temp/pdc12_pdc_brm_ip_ps4.rsp -silent
