ECE Is Unable To Connect To Jconsole In OCCNE Cluster (Doc ID 2844780.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 09, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Communications BRM - Elastic Charging Engine - Version 12.0.0.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Elastic Charging Engine (ECE) image is using hard-coded fully qualified domain name (FQDN) in start.sh script.

HOSTNAME_FQDN=$HOSTNAME"."${ECE_SERVICE}"."$NAMESPACE".svc.cluster.local"

In most of the kubernetes cluster 'cluster.local' works but in many other cases like Cloud Native Environment (OCCNE), this FQDN is not working. Ideally it should derive the FQDN from /etc/resolve.conf file.
