Information in this document applies to any platform.
When attempting to configure the P6 Professional database connection, one of the following errors occurs when the user name is anything other than the public schema user for the Oracle or SQL Server database platform hosting the P6 database.
Bad public user name or password. PRM DBAccess Error: Connection attempt to database failed with message SQL State: 1, SQL Error Code: 18456, Level: 14, Procedure: , Line: 1
Login failed for user '<name>'.;
Bad public user name or password. PRM DBAccess Error: Connection attempt to database failed with message ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied;
