DAP Much Stricter On XML Templates. Does not allow Namespaces (Doc ID 2847713.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 17, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 12.0.4.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Data Access Pack (DAP)DAP in 12.0.4 seems to have a new validation routing which applies before putting a message on the wire.

This is a problem for a few reasons:
a) The tech guide states: "DAP does not use syntactical parsing to check for properly formatted SOAP messages"
b) The GUI validation checks for invalid XML, but otherwise allows the template
c) DAP does not register the failure with slee_acs, meaning execution halts and has to be cleaned up with AWOL or similar.

So user have a change that appears largely inconsistent and undocumented,

Here is an example template (there are many many existing templates that follow this layout):

<CCSCD9_CHG>

<username>nccadmin</username>

<password>ncc_admin_xxxx</password>

<MSISDN></MSISDN>

<pi:TAG></pi:TAG>

<pi:VALUE></pi:VALUE>

</CCSCD9_CHG>
