Does ASAP Support Http / Https To Create Order Without Using Web Service ? (Doc ID 2848839.1)

Goal

We are using ASAP version 7.2 patch 6. We are currently creating Order in ASAP using xml over JMS queue . We would like to extend the ASAP interface to other application and want to use http or https. I can see documentation mention ASAP version support Web-service over http or https.

1. Is there any other option to use http or https , instead of using Web-service ?
2. What version of TLS ASAP supports ?
