Symptoms

On 8.1.x version, when you are trying to upgrade EPM applications like ALM, PFT, FTP to higher version such as 8.1.2, the upgrade fails with errors in console.

 

You notice how the installer doesn't find the respective module already present in environment and instead, it shows as if attempted to do fresh install.
