Last updated on APRIL 01, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning - Version 12.2.6 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In Supply Planning Work Area (SPWA), the Material plan is showing additional demand in Gross requirement.
Actual demand is 50 Qty but gross requirements showing as 100 Qty.
Impact:
As a result, planner is releasing additional quantity assuming the shortage due to inflated gross requirements.

ASCP workbench shows correct Qty for both sales order and Gross Requirements in Horizontal plan.
There are Additional records in MSC_DEMANDS with origination_type = -100, which seems to be getting considered in Gross requirements calculation in the SPWA  and not in Standard form Planner Workbench ASCP
-100  records are ATP reservations created during ATP Post Plan Processing calculations

STEPS:
Advanced Supply Chain Planning (R) / Supply Chain Plan /
A> SPWA - Pick Plan, click Material Plan and query for your item
B> Workbench - Pick Plan, click Supply/Demand, query item, rt-click Horizontal Plan
