Symptoms
When there are NM (Non-Merchandise) item from ReSA but those NM items were not setup in RMS (Retail Merchandising System).
To setup NM Item in RMS, users were questioned how the inventory and pricing of NM item is to be setup if the transaction of sales will occur and comes from ReSA. Users setup the NM as Non Inventory Item and set up the price as 0.01 but after we get sales from ReSA (Retail Sales Audit).
The Retail Type field is not populate for the sales of NM items.
The RI (Retail Merchandising Insights) integration tried to fill in with -1 but the batch failed due to length issue because retail_type expect only 1 character value but -1 is two character.
Steps to Recreate:
- Set up a non-inventory item with a retail of 0.01 in RMS
- Send a non-merch sales transaction via ReSA.
- Extract sales by running resa2rdw for RI load.
