Oracle Communications BRM - Elastic Charging Engine - Version 11.3.0.7.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
The user is looking for possible solution to control mid-session rated events feature with more detail trigger conditions, specifically to control rules for roaming and non-roaming sessions differently.
The current approach requires defining new event type (i.e., on top of already used /event/session/telco/gsm/data, introduce new event type /event/session/telco/gsm/data/roaming), then creating new set of entries in the charging-settings configuration XML file and defining new triggers there. Such option is limited in a set of conditions and introduces a complexity that is not acceptable, i.e, each Product Catalogue possibly requires pricing to be defined more than once, per event type. Additionally, the user would like a new attribute to be considered for midsession trigger condition for a new event type and a set of entries will need to be introduced.
This is a request to enhance core product either to permit a ‘mid-session’ selector to be configured, or allow a custom hook to force a mid-session request.
