While updating the item location attributes through base RMSSUB_XITEMLOC.CONSUME source method is updated to S and failing with the following error.

Steps to recreate:

  1. Create an item with a supplier having DSD_IND as N.
  2. Range the items to all locations and provide the source method as W. Through UI if we try to make the source method as S it will throw error stating all the suppliers present for this item are non dsd suppliers.
  3. Update the item location attributes like local item description using RMSSUB_XITEMLOC.CONSUME package. Pass only the minimal parameter (i.e. constructor function) required to update the LOCAL_ITEM_DESCRIPTION and notice that the source method got changed to S for that item.
  4. This is because of the below snippet present in the code. In case, if there is no source method passed then the source method S is considered instead of considering the value from the item_loc table for that item.
  5. Once the source method is updated to S successfully for that item, create a new store in RMS.
  6. Now select the like store as any store which is ranged specifically for that item (i.e. item loc having source method as S).
  7. Notice the failure of asynchronous batch with error 'SUPP_SOURCE_NO_DSD'.
