When Syncing P6 to OPC Using Primavera Gateway the Synchronization Fails With a General Error (Doc ID 2858025.1)

Symptoms

When syncing project data to P6 from OPC, general errors occur in the Gateway job logs when syncing project data.

ERROR
-----------------------

P6 Error log:
com.oracle.pgbu.pdi.provider.ProviderException: The response from P6 contains error.
at com.oracle.pgbu.pdi.p6provider.project.P6ProjectSaveStep.saveOneProject(P6ProjectSaveStep.java:295)

P6 Response log:
 <ActivityResponse action="update" executed="update" status="error">
   <ObjectId>3690313</ObjectId>
   <DetailedError/>
 </ActivityResponse>

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Log into OPC.
2. Open project.
3. Sync project data to P6 via "Send Primavera Cloud project data to P6".
4. Errors occur syncing Activity data
