Why can't a Page Two Attribute point to a new Dynamic List?

Page Two field currently pointing to a simple list. Need to modify the Page Two field to point to a new dynamic list of Users from a specific User Group.
Receive Error: Transaction not active anymore. Marked rollback. [Reason = weblogic.transaction.internal.APpSetRollbackOnlyException: setRollbackOnly called on transaction]

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login to Java Client
2. Click on Admin Tab | Data Settings | List - Create New Dynamic List: App-SE Users List
3. Click on Admin Tab | Criteria - Create Criteria App-Supplier Eng Group - User groups General Info.Name Contains App-Supplier Engineering
4. Navigate to Subclass Parts | Page Two
5  Create new Attribute:  Supplier Engineer PAGE_TWO.LIST81 to point to a new Dynamic List: App-SE Users List
6. Receive Error: Transaction BEA1-7072F3D4ADE8ECEE4A41 not active anymore.tx status = Marked rollback.[Reason =weblogic.transaction.internal. AppSetRollbackOnlyException: setRollbackOnly called on transaction]
