Mid Session CDR Missing And No GSU During That Time (Doc ID 2860431.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 26, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Communications BRM - Elastic Charging Engine - Version 12.0.0.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

While mid-session Call Detail Record (CDR) is generated, some of the CDRs are getting lost somewhere and not reported in Billing and Revenue Management (BRM) database. Also during that time, there was no Granted Service Unit (GSU) Attribute-Value Pairs (AVP) sent in response to the request, even though there was enough balance, this result in immediate terminate from the network.

Because of the loss of mid-session, there is an impact on Elastic Charging Engine (ECE) balances, but no impact was done on BRM balances (since CDR lost in between). This results in gap between ECE and BRM balances and ended with a big revenue loss.
