Getting Flexfield Error APP-FND-00716 When Releasing Planned Order (Doc ID 2863831.1)

Symptoms

Attempting to release a Planned Order in the Workbench returns the following error:


ERROR
-----------------------
APP-FND-00716: The combinations table for this flexfield contains more than one entry that
matches the entered values. Inform your system administrator that the combination identified by
the number xxxx is duplicated.



STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. NAV: Material Planner / Workbench

2. Query a Planned Order and try to release it.
