Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

We have a requirement to create a new case type named AML_KYT. This will hold cases that are specific to their digital/crypto transactions. It will use, however, the same case investigation workflow like other case types. As such, the designated workflow is assigned to it accordingly. To test the workflow-case type association, a manual case was created with an AML_KYT case type. The case is getting created but the NEW status is not getting assigned, which is preventing the case to go to the next status.

Steps to Reproduce Problem
--------------------------
Go to Case Management Configuration | Case Designer
Go to Case Type Definition
Create a new case type named AML_KYT. Case Class: AML, Description: AML KYT
Use the default Atributes
Use the default Entities
Use the OOTB Case Management - AML (ECM,0) Workflow
Click Save.

Go to Enterprise Case Investigation
Click Create Case
Create a manual case for AML_KYT
Save the record
At this point, the case should get a NEW status but instead it's showing NULL.
