How to Rollback a Patch on an Agile Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) System in Order To Apply a More Recent Release Update Pack (RUP)?
(Doc ID 2865157.1)
Last updated on NOVEMBER 15, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle Agile PLM Framework - Version 9.3.6.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
If a patch or a Hot Fix is released after the release of a Release Update Pack (RUP), it will not be included in the compatibility matrix and fail during installation. The workaround to this problem is to set the schema version back to a compatible version indicated in the RUP readme. This document provides steps to rollback a patch on an Agile Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system in order to apply a more recent Release Update Pack (RUP).
Note: This can be done only on patches that update the schema version only and without altering the schema objects. If schema objects are altered, this process should not be used. Contact Oracle Support for guidance.
