MSS 6.3.1| Unable to update EWO orders via Web Service (Doc ID 2865259.1)

Symptoms

MSS  6.3.1 version, EWO

While updating the EWO orders before prov-plan assignment via updateWorkOrderRequest, the changes are not updated and the EWO order goes to view only state. And the value of the supplement type in the work order is updated to single space (‘ ‘) instead of null.


Expectation here is that the EWO should get updated properly as per the information given in "updateWorkOrderRequest"

STEPS to replicate the issue
--------------------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create a work order via createWorkOrderRequest as shown below and after the creation of the order the value in supplement type is NULL. The work order ‘13125216’ is created.
2. Update the work order before prov plan assignment via updateWorkOrderRequest. The supplement type is updated to ‘ ‘ instead of NULL and the order goes to view only mode as shown below, no other changes can be made in the order.
