Revoked Named Event Request Results In Erroneous EDR Records (Doc ID 2865579.1)

Last updated on MAY 02, 2022

Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control (NCC), version,

Reserving and then revoking a named event results in an erroneous Event Details Record (EDR) being written by the Vocher and Wallet Server (VWS).

Here Customer use Named event reserve/revoke as a way to check subscriber balances under certain call flow setup scenarios, and would prefer not to have an EDR record every time this happens. But this generates an EDR as below and the generated EDR does not have any useful information and is no use anyway,

Sample EDR:

No EDR should be generated for such scenario as the EDR generated does not have any useful information

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. On NCC 12.0.4 Version, create a Control Plan having Start Node, Named Event Node(Reserve) Node, Named Event Node (Revoke)Node and End Node.
2. Configure the Named Event to Reserve a Unit (Cash).
3. Trigger the Control Plan to reserve the Named Event and then revoke it.
4. Verify the beVWARS debug log and check if it has generated an EDR as mentioned above.
