Design File Change Order (DFCO) Assignment In Computer Aided Design (CAD) Workspace, DFCO Does Not Show Up in the Agile Workspace Manager or in the Save Preview (Doc ID 2868905.1)

Using xPLM CAD connector along with SolidWorks, there is an issue with the DFCO assignment.
It is possible to assign designs to a DFCO but after the assignment is done the DFCO does not show up in the Agile workspace manager or in the save preview.

Expected behavior

DFCO should show up in workspace manager or in the save preview.

Steps to reproduce:


Java Client:

  1. Create a new Design subclass New_Design
  2. Add the following privileges to admin user:
    Read New_Design
    Modify New_Design
    Add to Table New_Design
    Cancel Checkout New_Design
    Checkin New_Design
    Checkout New_Design

MCAD test data:

  1. Create assembly ASSEMBLY001 with the following structure:
    0 ASSEMBLY001
    1 PART001
    1 PART002
  2. Save ASSEMBLY001 and its components to Agile.

MCAD Preferences:

  1. PLM Mode: CAD4Cloud
  2. Load Options > Show Load Preview checkbox is checked
  3. Check Out During Save: Force User Checkout
  4. Save Option for Modified: Check In/Incorporate
  5. Save As: Design Only
  6. Design Subclass: New_Design
  7. Change Subclass (Design): DFCO


  1. Launch and login to CAD as admin
  2. Click Workspace Manager
  3. Right Click on the Workspaces > Create Workspace
  4. Rename workspace: New_Workspace
  5. Close Agile Workspace window
  6. Go back to Agile
  7. Open ASSEMBLY001 Design object
  8. Click Actions > Load to CAD
  9. In Opening Agilecad.xml window, select Open with XPLM - Invoice Callback (default)
  10. Click OK button
  11. In Agile Load Preview window, click Load in CAD
  12. Click Agile tab > Save Preview
  13. Select all rows, then click Checkout
  14. Select ASSEMBLY001 and PART002
  15. Then click Right Click > Assign Change
  16. Select Design then click Create new Change using Autonumber button
  17. Then click Continue button
  18. In Agile Save Preview screen, click Continue button to save to Agile
  19. Validate Design Objects for ASSEMBLY001, PART001, and PART002 in Agile
  20. Validate DFCO0001 Affected Files tab
  21. Go back to CAD. Click Agile tab > Workspace Manager
  22. Validate ASSEMBLY001, PART001, and PART002
  23. Then close Workspace Manager window
  24. Click Agile tab > Save Preview
  25. Validate each row line
  26. Go back to Agile Web Client
  27. Open ASSEMBLY001, then click Actions > Load to CAD
  28. In Opening Agilecad.xml window, select Open with XPLM - Invoice Callback (default)
  29. Then click OK button, notice the issue.
