Last updated on JANUARY 21, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Communications ASAP - Version 7.3.0.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Customer has 2 sites in production for ASAP Application, Primary site and standby site (Geo Redundant site). Failover/switch over between sites happen for patch upgrades and other maintenance activities.

DB sync (immediate sync through Data Guard) and filesystem (Rsync after every changes) between sites to keep them identical so when ever switch over happen, both the sites have latest updates on the destination site.

A new WebLogic user is created to use for SAF connection a month ago in one site. Both DB and WebLogic domain were synced to another site. Later, customer moved from active site to standby site and brought up WebLogic. The newly created user was missing in SecurityRealm of standby site.

Searched for user details in WebLogic under security realm, but could not find any details.

Path : <WL_DOMAIN_PATH>/servers/<ADMIN SERVER>/data/ldap

Users' details are not available in this .ldif file.

Customer had to manually recreate the user and resolve the SAF connectivity issue after switch over.

How to sync newly created WebLogic users between sites, so that this issue not faced in future again?

Provide the path and file name where ASAP WebLogic user details are available in ASAP server.
