Input Variables Computed Only If Actuarial Assumption Is Used In The Calculation Preferences (Doc ID 2870723.1)

Last updated on MAY 24, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Insurance Accounting Analyzer - Version 8.0.6 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The IIA application only computes the input variables if the tagged actuarial assumptions are being used in the calculation template.

1. Requirement in which not all the actuarial assumptions are being used in the calculation preference. OPENING_ADJ is not being used in the calculation preferences but is used in the sub-ledger attribute sources.
2. In the calculation template, we have not used the actuarial assumption: OPENING_ADJ, and hence, even when the cash flows corresponding to OPENING_ADJ were present, the application did not compute the variable: N_MED_PV_GROSS_PRM_NB{OPENING_ADJ}.

Ideally, if the flag: “Flag for computing all input variables or input variables which are associated to the template” under Application Configuration to “Yes”, the application should compute all the input variables irrespective of the presence of actuarial assumptions in the template.
