UIM Subnet Partitioning Clarification (Doc ID 2874114.1)

Last updated on JUNE 28, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Unified Inventory Management - Version 7.4.1.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

In IP address v4, when we join subnets and then partition them back, newly partitioned IPs do not belong to same parent subnet i.e. it creates a new parent partitioned node says 'Not Available'.

1. 7.10.11.0 was created with prefix 24
2. 7.10.11.0 is partitioned with prefix 30
3. joined 7.10.11.40 with prefix 29v so that it includes 7.10.11.44 as well.
4. partition 7.10.11.40 back with prefix 30, it creates back 7.10.11.44 node but these two nodes now have new parent node which creates confusion.

Is there a way to show newly partitioned nodes under its actual parent node i.e. under 7.10.11.0/24 without showing the parent node 7.10.11.40/29?
