Email Notifications For Global Specification Management (GSM) Activities Do Not Include The SpecTypeName (Doc ID 2875173.1)

Last updated on JUNE 06, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Agile Product Lifecycle Management for Process - Version 6.2.2.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Using 6.2.2.0, the default email notification when a spec or activity is assigned to the user inside PLM for Process with Activities, there doesn't seem to be a 'SpecTypeName' available so that this part of the email template is just left blank. For all other object types in GSM, the 'SpecTypeName' fills in successfully.

Expected behavior:

The SpecTypeName should fill in with 'Activity.'

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Configure Email Extension for Global Specification Management (GSM) activities email. Use @specTypeName@ to pull Specification Type.
  2. Start Document Workflow from Draft > New Supplier Review.
  3. Fill in the Your Comment field blank.
  4. Check GSM Activity email. It is not including the values for Specification Type.
