Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) connection between the AutoVue client and the VueServlet, when trying to open a document with the "View in AutoVue" option in Web Center Content (WCC) the following error occurs.

Error:

java.lang.Exception: Illegal character in path at index 56

Steps:

  1. Setup SSL on WCC.
  2. Enable SSL between the client and the VueServlet (see section "SSL Between the AutoVue Client and the VueServlet" in the Security Guide).
  3. Log into WCC.
  4. Search for a document.
  5. Open using AutoVue by clicking on "View in AutoVue".

What is working:

If WCC is used in non SSL mode, there is no error and AutoVue is able to open and display the file.
