Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On Oracle Communications Convergent Charging Controller (OC3C) 12.0.5.0, announcement Graphical User Interface (GUI) only allows to add announcement id of maximum 9 numeric characters.

It is about the following field in Service Management Server (SMS) GUI:

Services -> ACS Service -> Configuration -> Announcements -> New/Edit -> Resource ID

As per ETSI TS 129 078 V12.0.0 standard, elementaryMessageID field is Integer4 and should be able to accept up to 10 digits, as Integer4 type has following field length range: -2147483648 to 2147483647

See page 42 from following document: https://www.etsi.org/deliver/etsi_ts/129000_129099/129078/12.00.00_60/ts_129078v120000p.pdf

It is expected OC-3C will conform to ETSI TS 129 078 V12.0.0 specifications, so it has to accept 10 digits announcement id
