Symptoms

When upgrading the P6 database using the dbsetup.bat utility, the following error occurs.

Error in Run SQL Script sspm_px_rpt_src.sql : DatabaseToolException (CREATE VIEW permission denied in database '<Database_Name>')


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Launch the dbsetup.bat utility.
  2. Select upgrade and enter the database credentials.
  3. Observer the error on the "Create Reporting Views" step.
