SOAP Response Contains Correct Local Time But Appends ‘Z’ to TSTAMP Fields (Doc ID 2882706.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 24, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version 12.0.0.4.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) response contains correct local time as returned by Billing and Revenue Management (BRM) but appends ‘Z’ to the TSTAMP fields indicating UTC timezone instead of local timezone.

Though BRM and tomcat configurations have been configured to use local timezone (Europe/Oslo), but still BRM Webservices returns timestamp field as UTC (by appending Z).

Steps to Reproduce this issue:
1. Create account
2. Perform get balance request from SOAP User Interface (UI)

Actual Result:
From the output and logs, the time is showing with the timezone (z i.e. UTC); However, time output returns in CET from BRM.

Expected Result:
TSTAMP fields should contain correct timezone (local) instead of UTC in SOAP response.
