Symptoms

On : 2.4.0.1.0 version, Installation

After a recent upgrade from 2.3 to 2.4, operators are not able to perform any SCADA operations.
Instead, an error message pop-up appears stating "Not allowed to operate SCADA device!".

Also, this error message appeared in the associated corbagateway

07/01/22 13:13:12: corbagateway 0x7f539844b700,ctp=0x2644c28,"InterSysImpl::operateState" InterSysImpl::operateState failed: SCADA controls not allowed

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Have one or more SCADA actions configured for the Control Tool
  2. Start the corbagateway running without the "-scadacontrols" option
  3. Have an operator attempt to perform the SCADA action

An error message pop-up appears stating "Not allowed to operate SCADA device!".
