Information in this document applies to any platform.

Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications Infrastructure (OFSAAI)

Symptoms

When using the REST API for User Management from Third-Party IDMs to create and update Users, you find that the REST API unauthorizes users if they are assigned to a User Group for a 2nd time.

If REST API is used to assign a User Group that is assigned already, the RECORDSTAT value changes from 'A' to 'U' in CSSMS_USR_GROUP_MAP_UNAUTH.

The unauthorized record now appears in in the User Group Authorization user interface. However, any attempt to authorize it fails.

Step to Reproduce:

  1. Create a new user using REST API
  2. Map User to User Group
  3. Map again to the same User Group
  4. Check CSSMS_USR_GROUP_MAP_UNAUTH

The user is now unauthorized.
