EBS-PS: Planned Orders Are Scheduled Late When On-Hand Inventory Drops to Zero At the End of the Time Fence (Doc ID 2884830.1)

Symptoms

PS schedules work order later than requested when the BOM item used to produce the end item has on-hand inventory level drop to Zero at the end of the time fence.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Open PS model
  2. BoM Item A has no on-hand quantities and supply order (purchase order) planned on Day 10
  3. Planed orders for end item ABC has requested date set to Day 12.
  4. Solve the model and observe planned orders corresponding to item ABC are scheduled later than the requested even though there are purchase order supplies available during the requested time line.
