Rows in an Exported Resource Assignments File Are Not Grouped as Configured (Doc ID 2887968.1)

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

Rows in an exported Resource Assignments file are not organized according to the applied Grouping type.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

The row order should be controlled by the user-selected Grouping option.

 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. In P6 Web navigate to the Resources > Assignments view.
  2. Click Customize view > Grouping, select WBS and Save the change.
  3. Click the Export button.
  4. Download the exported XLS file and notice that the rows are not grouped as directed.
