WIPEdit 12.6/12.7 Microsoft Edge IE Mode - Dynamic Port Allocation Not Working (Doc ID 2889050.1)

Oracle Documaker - Version 12.0 and later

Goal

When using WIPEdit 12.6/12.7 in IE11, the WIPEDITPORT env. variable is not needed. Ports appear to dynamically allocate as needed allowing multi instancing.

When using Edge IE mode, which will be required to continue using WIPEdit when Microsoft discontinues support in June... the WIPEdit plugin will function for the first allocated port, (default 49180) but will freeze on refresh or attempted allocation of additional ports. (various opperations cause the freeze such as Proof, save, complete, manage document package, etc). Reintroducing the WIPEDITPORT env. variable resolves the issue since only a single port is allocated and used.

wipctl.log (WIPCTLDEBUG env variable set to Y) - 1351. Wed May 11 10:00:44.370 2022 pid=00010572 * UTLDefErrorExit * UCLSendMessage Connect error #10061

Ideally we would like our users to be able to use WIPEdit without the need for the WIPEDITPORT env. variable. This will allow users to utilize multiple instances of WIPEdit.
It is currently unknown why Edge IE Mode does not function as IE11 does.

How can this be addressed?
