ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
============

User is facing an error while IPASSIGN task  is moved to SYSTEM Q for completion. While system task server picks the task but can't complete it because of below validation ERROR.

ERROR:
===== 
'The System Task Server was unable to Auto Assign IP Addresses for order.'

 

EXPECTED BEHAVIOUR

===================

IPASSIGN task should not fail on change orders with the above error when its completed as SYSTEM task.

 

STEPS

====


User is getting the below error in the given scenario .

1-Make a new PSR in MSS GUI.
2-The are following items :(sample)

()Global
        |--Product Bundle
                  |__Circuit Item
                            |__IP Assign Item

3-Validate,Finish and assign a prov-plan to the order.
4-Add an IPASSIGN task to the tasks, in case its not there and keep it in a manual Q .
5-Complete tasks till IPASSIGN.
6-Double click the IPASSIGN task and assign the IP to the item manually.
7-Verify that the IP has been assigned by opening the PSR in View mode.
8-Now ,transfer the IPASSIGN task to SYSTEM Q.
9-After sometime, it moves to ERROR Q with below mentioned error , even though the IP has been assigned on the item.

"The System Task Server was unable to Auto Assign IP Addresses for order XXXX."

As per user, the error also comes for CHANGE Orders when there is no need to assign IPs, but the IPASSIGN task fails with the mentioned message.
