Error "Unrecognized VM option 'PermSize=256m' Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine" When Running the WebLogic Configuration via the P6 EPPM Configuration Wizard (Doc ID 2891009.1)

Symptoms

Running Weblogic Configuration, the following message is written to the config_<date-time stamp>.log file:

Unrecognized VM option 'PermSize=256m'
Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine.
Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit.

The issue can be reproduced at will using the following steps:

  1. Run the P6 EPPM Configuration Wizard.
  2. When prompted, select the option to create a new WebLogic Domain.
  3. Enter the required information.
  4. The WebLogic Configuration step fails.
