Symptoms

When attempting to start the P6 managed server in the WebLogic console, the following error occurs.  The error lasts for several minutes before the managed server startup fails and the Status is set to FAILED_NOT_RESTARTABLE.

PVContextListener: Error during P6 initialization: org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanCreationException: Error creating bean with name 'LogMgr' defined in class path resource [com/primavera/pvweb/servlet/webconf.xml]: Invocation of init method failed; nested exception is java.lang.IllegalStateException: ManagerFactory [org.apache.logging.log4j.core.appender.rolling.RollingFileManager$RollingFileManagerFactory@691ff34d] unable to create manager for [<P6 EPPM home>\p6\WebAccessLogs\P6WebAccess.html] with data [org.apache.logging.log4j.core.appender.rolling.RollingFileManager$FactoryData@9873586[pattern=<P6 EPPM home>\p6\WebAccessLogs\P6WebAccess.html.%i, append=true, bufferedIO=false, bufferSize=0, policy=SizeBasedTriggeringPolicy(size=1048576), strategy=DefaultRolloverStrategy(min=1, max=6, useMax=true), advertiseURI=null, layout=com.primavera.infr.log.PrimaveraHtmlLogLayout@40cbebd2, filePermissions=null, fileOwner=null]].. Will retry initialization in 10 seconds.
