Customer Center Custom Search Template Not Working (Doc ID 2899788.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 03, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version 12.0.0.4.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
The user is using Custom Search template for the Event Browser to view the data via Customer Center, Billing and Revenue Management (BRM) 12.0 Patch Set 4. While invoking the search, Customer Center is stuck and it is not responding at all.
NOTE: The same custom search template was working fine in BRM 12.0 PS3.

There are additional fields PIN_FLD_RATED_TIMEZONE_ID and PIN_FLD_TIMEZONE_ID in the search results for the opcode PCM_OP_GLOBAL_STEP_SEARCH. This will work only for the search in the /event storable classes, as these 2 fields are part of the /event storable classes. In the Custom Search Template, the user is trying to pull the data from other storable classes, due to which this issue is observed in Customer Center.

Though the BRM server is returning the output flist for the search (without the additional fields), Customer Center is stuck while trying to get these fields.

These two additional fields PIN_FLD_RATED_TIMEZONE_ID and PIN_FLD_TIMEZONE_ID in the search results for the PCM_OP_GLOBAL_STEP_SEARCH API is added by out-of-box itself.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Customer Center should not get stuck.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Add Custom Search template for the Event Browser
2. Open the customer center and search
