Trial Billing Consuming Huge Disk Space in DB (Doc ID 2902417.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 13, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version 12.0.0.5.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

As part of a customization, one user executes trial billing for child accounts. As there is no option to do selective trial billing for desired child accounts, the user executed with -pay_type 10007 which generates trial invoices for all child accounts in the system.

Such operation causes the data base size increasing exponentially. Around 26 lakh child accounts used up almost 600GB of table space. All the space has been consumed by invoice_formats_buf_t. And the Trial Bill Run as such is running for 10+ hours and storing 600GB+ tablespace.

How to run selective trial billing for desired parent and its corresponding child accounts?
