Goal

UIM Cloud Native toolkit to build image fails with error below on Oracle enterprise Linux (OEL) 8
java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "docker"

Support for Docker has been discontinued from OEL 8. Users are required to use Podman instead.


Upgraded image build scripts using Podman on OEL 8.x are provided as part of this article.
