Error 'There is no value defined to substitute for version' When Attempting to Upgrade a P6 EPPM 20.12.12 Database to a Later Version (Doc ID 2904875.1)

Symptoms

When upgrading a P6 EPPM database from version 20.12.12.0 to a later version, the process fails with the following error:

ERROR: com.primavera.database.common.job.ValueNotFound: There is no value defined to substitute for version
com.primavera.database.common.job.ValueNotFound: There is no value defined to substitute for version
 at com.primavera.database.tools.dbmt.workflow.DynamicStringValue.getValue()
 at com.primavera.database.tools.dbmt.workflow.CompositeScriptStringValue.getValue()
 at com.primavera.database.tools.dbmt.workflow.SqlScriptJobFactory.createJob()
 ...

 

The issue can be reproduced at will using the following steps:

  1. Create a version 20.12.12.0 database.
  2. Attempt to upgrade the database to a later version.
  3. The upgrade fails with the reported error.
