GL Posting Issue for Already Posted Period

Symptoms
Scenario:
--------------------
1. General Ledger (GL) has Billed Revenue for the Period July 01 to July 31.
2. Ran GL for the period July 02 to August 08. Because the end date is exclusive and the Item effective date is August 01, so the user is using end date as August 02 for GL Posting.
3. In the next cycle, the user makes any backdated transactions or payments with the date as August 01 which is valid and is part of that accounting cycle. However, there is an error saying "you cant post the payment because GL is already posted for this period".

Unable to run GL report for already posted period.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

Able to run GL report for already posted period.
