Java Client Launching With Error "Failed to initialize JNDI context, tried 2 time or times totally, the interval of each time is 0ms." After Setting Up SSL With Wildcard Certificate (Doc ID 2908656.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to launch Java Client, the following error occurs in the Java Client window:

Java Client Fails to Connect Error "Failed to initialize JNDI context, tried 2 time or times totally, the interval of each time is 0ms."

When reproducing the issue with java console enabled, below error is generated in the java console:
<Warning> <Security> <BEA-090504> <Certificate chain received from {hostname.domain_com} - xx.x.xxx.xx failed hostname verification check. Certificate contained *.{domain_name} but check expected {hostname.domain_name}>
network: Connecting socket://{hostname.domain_name}:port with proxy=DIRECT appears


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Launch browser, and connect to Java Client using https://{server_name}.{domain_name}:{port}>/JavaClient/start.html
  2. Launch
  3. Give Username and password, and OK
  4. See the error message pops up.
