MRP Suggestions causing duplicate POs
Problem Description
---------------------------------------------------
1. China Org created Internal Req (IR) based on demand, the need by date is based on the demand, and standard processes will generate an Internal Sales Order (ISO) in US Org,
- When US org imports and schedules this ISO, the schedule ship date respects the transit time between orgs and schedules on a later date - subsequently the system will update the need by date on the IR to match dates on the ISO.
2. When Chine Org runs MRP again, the Req is "late" for the demand and cannot be rescheduled -- so plan will create a new planned order on demand date. The Req is treated as firm internally by the system and will not be cancelled.
Therefore, the business is creating duplicate supplies that leads to excessive inventory.
