Agile Web Client Freezes with a Progress Bar When an Item Which Violates a Workflow Criteria Is Added in Affected Items(AI) Table of Change Order (Doc ID 2914586.1)

Last updated on APRIL 21, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Agile PLM Framework - Version and later
Oracle Agile Product Collaboration - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When user adds an Item which violates the Workflow criteria to the AI tab of a Change Order the system pops up a warning message.
Once the user selects Continue button the browser is blocked by a progress bar.
The progress bar disappears after the user hits the browser refresh button.

Selecting continue in the message dialogue should close the dialogue instead of freezing the User Interface(UI).

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login to Agile Web Client - http(s)://<FQDN>:<port>/Agile/PLMservlet
2. Select an Item with Obsolete Lifecycle Phase which violates a workflow criteria.
3. Add the Item in the AI tab of the Change Orders having the above workflow.
4. Web Client pops up a warning message - "The object violates the workflow criteria. Would you like to continue?"
5. If user selects continue the web client is hanging in a progress bar.

In previous Agile version 9.3.3, if users clicks on Continue button application just closes the dialogue without performing any further action.

Also, the browser does not freeze and user can continue using the appmiaction.

Upgrade to Agile 9.3.6 from 9.3.3.
