Goal

On Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control (NCC) 12.0.4.0.0 version,

It is observed that large amounts of memory is being used on Service Logic Controller (SLC) nodes since upgrading to NCC 12.0.4 Release.

On some SLCs, there are slee_acs instances that are using 10G of RAM:

This references handleVoucherTypeRedeemResponse, which gives the impression that it is related to their auto purchase processing which happens every time a cash balance is increased and uses voucher type recharges to grant mutex buckets to lock down certain code paths and prevent double execution of processing.
