Unable to Install Agile PLM 9.3.6 on FMW 12.2.1.4 with Error "Agile domain creation failed!" (Doc ID 2923398.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to install Agile Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) 9.3.6 on Fusion Middleware (FMW) 12.2.1.4,
the following error occurs.

Error

Agile domain creation failed!

Domain creation failed. Please review WLST log files in
/xxx/fmw/product/12214/logs directory for details.
Agile installation will stop.

However, no log file is generated under the logs directory mentioned in the error message.



Steps

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Install FMW 12.2.1.4.
  2. Run installer of Agile 9.3.6.
  3. Go through the installation wizard, and click [Install].
  4. Agile Installation starts.
  5. Error message: "Agile Domain Creation Failed!" pops up during the installation.
