Symptoms

When attempting to start managed server, the following error occurs in the server log

<Jan 25, 2023 4:57:09 AM EST> <Alert> <Management> <BEA-141151> <The Administration Server could not be reached at http://xxxx.com:9001.>
<Jan 25, 2023 4:57:09 AM EST> <Info> <Configuration Management> <BEA-150018> <This server is being started in Managed Server independence mode in the absence of the Administration Server.>
<Jan 25, 2023 4:57:09 AM EST> <Notice> <WebLogicServer> <BEA-000365> <Server state changed to STARTING.>
 

Steps
 
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Go to <Agile_Home>/agiledomain/bin folder in the Managed Server(MS).
  2. Run StartManagedServer1.sh to start MS.
  3. MS Startup fails with error.
