Applies to:
Oracle Materials Requirement Planning - Version 12.1.3 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Launch the Planning Manager and find that after some time it fails, then the automated restart process will restart the process under new Request ID, but then it fails and restarts continually. It should restart with same Request ID until 00:00:00 (Midnight) and show no failures.
NAV: Material Planner(R) / Setup / Planning Manager
- click Start to button to Launch - then refresh to see messages printed in the form for each iteration of this processing manager
Review the messages in the form - The messages with Request ID=[number] should repeat until 00:00:00 (Midnight) and then relaunch with a new request ID
- In this example, a new request is launched very often with a new request ID - which indicates there is a problem and that the log files should be reviewed. Also find a message in the form indicating a memory issue.
